Congrats to all of our winners announced last night at the PTA meeting. Boxtops contest winners: Mrs. White's, Ms. Ashba's, Mrs. Hardison's and Mrs. O'Connell's classes. Mr. Vandeveer's class won an ice cream party for top sales in our Spirit Cup Fundraiser. Jessie Hill won 2 Panter's Football tickets, Rachel Burke won a Ipod shuffle, ...Matthew Altice and Autumn Roundtree each won a $25 Target card.

3rd General PTA Meeting

The 3rd general PTA Meeting is tomorrow night at 7pm! Book Fair runs All Week This Week with Family Night tomorrow night! Parent workshops tomorrow ~ 8am to 9pm and again at 6pm to 7pm!

Meet & Greet

All parents and community members are welcome to attend the Meet and Greet with the Board of Education on Wednesday, March 9th from 9:00-11:00am at the Dale K. Spencer Building. This will be a casual, open forum setting with one on one conversation hosted by the NHC Council of PTAs. The 3rd PTA Council General Membership Meeting will begin around 10:45am.

2nd Grade Yard Sale!!!

This Saturday, February 26th from 7am to 11am the 2nd grade classes from Bellamy Elementary will be having a yard sale to help fund their upcoming trip to the NC Zoo. The yard sale will be held in the cafeteria at the school. Bellamy Elementary is located at 70 Sanders Road. Tell all of your family, friends and neighbors and come out and help support our 2nd graders!

CHICK-FIL-A DAY!!!

Chick-fil-a Day this Thursday, February 17! ALL DAY!!! Bring your voucher with you so Bellamy will receive credit. Vouchers will be going home with your children! Chick-fil-a prize wheel will be spinning for $1 a chance from 5:30pm to 7:30pm!

Make-up Days Announced!

NHC Board of Education approved the district's make-up days during their retreat on Sun., Jan. 23. NHCS students will attend school on Mon., Feb. 21, Thurs., June 9 & Fri., June 10 (half-day) to make-up the missed days from earlier in the month- Jan. 10-12.

New Hanover County Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Tim Markley recently launched his own blog as a way to keep parents and the citizens informed on what the district is doing for education in New Hanover County. This innovative communication tool will provide two-way constructive communication among all stakeholders and will be posted weekly or as needed, depending on the issues that arise. Dr. Markley’s most recent blog focuses on the projected revenue shortfalls for the 2011-12 fiscal budget year. Bellamy's Annual Freedom March Re-enactment

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, Bellamy Elementary will hold its annual Freedom March Re-enactment on Fri., Jan. 14th @ 9:30AM. NHC Board of Education member Dorothy DeShields will serve as the Grand Marshall & all grade levels will participate.
